Provenance
Sources and licences
Nothing religious on this site is written here. Every Arabic character, every translated sentence, every gloss and every line of commentary comes from a published dataset with a named publisher and a licence. This page lists all of them, and it is generated from what is actually installed rather than typed by hand.

Every ayah in this edition is prefixed by its own number in parentheses, "(255) ". The importer stores the string exactly as published and the Reader hides that prefix only where it matches the ayah number it sits on; validation fails the import if a single one does not.

The tafsir the brief asks for. The Complex's own developer host could not be reached from this network, so the copy was taken from QuranEnc, whose terms permit re-publication verbatim. This edition publishes one entry per ayah; entries are stored at that granularity and the importer folds a run of byte-identical consecutive entries back into the range the author wrote about.

A gharib al-Qur'an work: it explains the unfamiliar word as it stands in its own ayah, not as a dictionary headword. Stored under its own kind so the interface can never present it as tafsir, as a translation, or as morphology. 6,109 glosses across 3,648 ayat.
What this site does not do
- No Qur’anic text is generated. There is no code path in this site that could produce Arabic; every character shown came from a file whose checksum is above.
- No translation, tafsir or word gloss is generated, paraphrased or summarised. They are reproduced as published, and an edition that forbids modification is not modified.
- No root, lemma or part of speech is inferred. A field a source does not supply stays empty rather than being filled with a plausible guess.
- Nothing is scraped. Every dataset was downloaded from its publisher’s own distribution, through the interface that publisher documents.
- A dataset whose integrity checks fail stops being displayed. The reading pages fall back to showing nothing rather than showing text that has not been verified.
