21. 21

    لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُۥ خَـٰشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَتِلْكَ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

    If We had sent down this Qur’ān upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and splitting from fear of Allāh. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.

    مُتَشَقِّقًا.

    Tafsir Arabic

    لو أنزلنا هذا القرآن على جبل من الجبال، ففهم ما فيه مِن وعد ووعيد، لأبصَرْته على قوته وشدة صلابته وضخامته، خاضعًا ذليلا متشققًا من خشية الله تعالى. وتلك الأمثال نضربها، ونوضحها للناس؛ لعلهم يتفكرون في قدرة الله وعظمته. وفي الآية حث على تدبر القرآن، وتفهم معانيه، والعمل به.

22. 22

    هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَـٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ ۖ هُوَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

    He is Allāh, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed.^[1657] He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

    لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ

    لَا مَعْبُودَ بِحَقٍّ إِلَّا هُوَ.

    عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ

    عَالِمُ السِّرِّ، وَمَا غَابَ عَنِ الأَعْيُنِ.

    وَالشَّهَادَةِ

    وَعَالِمُ كُلِّ مُعْلَنٍ، وَحَاضِرٍ.

    الرَّحْمَنُ

    الَّذِي وَسِعَتْ رَحْمَتُهُ كَلَّ شَيْءٍ، أَوِ الرَّحْمَةُ صِفَتُهُ.

    الرَّحِيمُ

    الَّذِي يَرْحَمُ المُؤْمِنِينَ خَاصَّةً، أَوِ الرَّحْمَةُ فِعْلُهُ.

    Tafsir Arabic

    هو الله سبحانه وتعالى المعبود بحق الذي لا إله سواه، عالم السر والعلن، يعلم ما غاب وما حضر، هو الرحمن الذي وسعت رحمته كل شيء، الرحيم بأهل الإيمان به.

23. 23

    هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْقُدُّوسُ ٱلسَّلَـٰمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُ ٱلْمُهَيْمِنُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْجَبَّارُ ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرُ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

    He is Allāh, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign,^[1658] the Pure,^[1659] the Perfection,^[1660] the Grantor of Security,^[1661] the Overseer,^[1662] the Exalted in Might,^[1663] the Compeller,^[1664] the Superior.^[1665] Exalted is Allāh above whatever they associate with Him.

    السَّلَامُ

    المُنَزَّهُ عَنْ كُلِّ نَقْصٍ، الَّذِي سَلِمَ مِنْ كُلِّ عَيْبٍ.

    الْمُؤْمِنُ

    المُصَدِّقُ رُسُلَهُ بِالمُعْجِزَاتِ، وَالآيَاتِ البَيِّنَاتِ.

    الْمُهَيْمِنُ

    الرَّقِيبُ عَلَى كُلِّ خَلْقِهِ.

    الْعَزِيزُ

    القَوِيُّ الغَالِبُ الَّذِي لَا يُغْلَبُ.

    الْجَبَّارُ

    الَّذِي قَهَرَ جَمِيعَ العِبَادِ.

    سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ

    تَنَزَّهَ اللهُ تَعَالَى.

    Translator’s notes

    [1658]- And owner of everything in existence.

    [1659]- i.e., transcendent above any aspect belonging to His creation. Also, the possessor and grantor of blessings.

    [1660]- Literally, "Free" from any imperfection. Also, "Peace" or "Soundness."

    [1661]- And safety, i.e., reassurance that His promise is always fulfilled. Also, He who bestows faith.

    [1662]- i.e., who observes, guards and protects. Also, "the Criterion."

    [1663]- Refer to footnote in 2:129.

    [1664]- Whose irresistible force is without limitation; the one above all things who compels the creation to be as He wills it. Also, "the Amender" or "the Rectifier" who repairs, restores, completes or sets something right once again, out of His mercy.

    [1665]- Supreme, complete and perfect in His essence, attributes and actions.

    Tafsir Arabic

    هو الله المعبود بحق، الذي لا إله إلا هو، الملك لجميع الأشياء، المتصرف فيها بلا ممانعة ولا مدافعة، المنزَّه عن كل نقص، الذي سلِم من كل عيب، المصدِّق رسله وأنبياءه بما أرسلهم به من الآيات البينات، الرقيب على كل خلقه في أعمالهم، العزيز الذي لا يغالَب، الجبار الذي قهر جميع العباد، وأذعن له سائر الخلق، المتكبِّر الذي له الكبرياء والعظمة. تنزَّه الله تعالى عن كل ما يشركونه به في عبادته.

24. 24

    هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقُ ٱلْبَارِئُ ٱلْمُصَوِّرُ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

    He is Allāh, the Creator,^[1666] the Producer,^[1667] the Fashioner;^[1668] to Him belong the best names.^[1669] Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.^[1670]

    الْخَالِقُ

    المُقَدِّرُ لِلأَشْيَاءِ، وَالمُوجِدُ لَهَا.

    الْبَارِئُ

    الَّذِي يُصْدِرُ خَلْقَهُ عَلَى الكَيْفِيَّةِ الَّتِي يَشَاؤُهَا.

    الْحُسْنَى

    الَّتِي لَا أَحْسَنَ مِنْهَا.

    Tafsir Arabic

    هو الله سبحانه وتعالى الخالق المقدر للخلق، البارئ المنشئ الموجد لهم على مقتضى حكمته، المصوِّر خلقه كيف يشاء، له سبحانه الأسماء الحسنى والصفات العلى، يسبِّح له جميع ما في السموات والأرض، وهو العزيز شديد الانتقام مِن أعدائه، الحكيم في تدبيره أمور خلقه.
